No. The AI model runs entirely in your browser. Open the Network tab in your devtools while erasing — you will see zero image traffic leaving your device. Nothing is uploaded and nothing is stored.

Unwanted people in the background, photobombers, logos, signs, blemishes, power lines, and similar distractions. Brush over the object and the model rebuilds the background behind it. Large objects over very detailed scenes are the hardest to reconstruct.

The AI model (about 28 MB) downloads the first time you use the tool, then is cached in your browser. After that it loads instantly from the cache. Machines with WebGPU run the erase in a few seconds; without it a slower fallback is used.

Brush completely over the object plus a small margin so no edge remains. Removing one object at a time and keeping the brushed area as tight as possible around it gives the cleanest fill.

Only the brushed area is rebuilt by the model; everything you did not brush is kept as-is. However, photos larger than 2048 px on the long edge are scaled down to that working size first, so very large photos are downsized overall — the tool shows the exact output dimensions with the result.
